The Care Revolution is about clearly communicating ComLink’s new vision to be leaders in our industry.

ComLink has always been a community minded and community driven organisation. Since our inception, we have relied on the generosity of our volunteers and the hard work of our staff to cultivate a culture of compassion, dedication and family. Time and again we have seen the passion people have for ComLink and the work that we do, and as ComLink geared up for its biggest event of the year, we saw nothing different.

The Care Revolution campaign is about making sure that ComLink is always several steps ahead in terms of our commitment, our use of technology and innovation, and in being the leaders in our industry to make aged care more accessible, dynamic and affordable. And this campaign was our way of communicating that.

Had you been standing by Lake Kawana on the morning of the 2nd of July you would have thought it a particularly special kind of day. The sound of the wind whistling on the water, the sun shining through a pale blue sky, the ground trembling in anticipation.

The day began bright and early at 9am. Luck was on our side: there wasn’t a single, looming threat of rain in the sky. Soon, ComLink enthusiasts would pour in by the bus full, each of them volunteering their time toward creating something special. By the time shooting began, we had close to one hundred clients, staff, family and friends, waving ComLink flags and ready to march.

We anticipated a tight shoot – we expected that most of our volunteers would grow tired as the hours rolled on, but what we found was quite the opposite. Everyone was having fun – there was genuine excitement in the air. The feeling was that we were doing something spectacular, that we were winning. We were starting a revolution.

For ComLink, this is just the beginning. As we move forward we have many more exciting creative projects on the horizon, so keep an eye out.

The revolution has arrived!
