Get ready to cut some novelty sized ribbons, because ComLink has arrived in Mackay! Today we are proud to announce the beginning of a new chapter in our journey in the Whitsundays’ regions. We’ve put on some sunscreen, grabbed our beach towels and are ready to get to work in paradise.
Our Expansion into Mackay comes with the amalgamation of long running organisation HTM community transport into ComLink. HTM has novated its Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) Transport services to ComLink Limited effective from 1st October 2017.
The amalgamation of HTM into ComLink was initiated by the board of directors and operations manager of HTM with the purpose of ensuring that high quality care services will always be available in Mackay, despite a highly competitive market. The decision to transfer HTM’s contract was made in consultation with the Department of Health and finalised with their approval.
ComLink is excited to be increasing the reach of its services, with Mackay becoming the 10th region in Queensland to welcome our arrival.
The good news is that everything will remain business as usual for existing HTM/ComLink clients. Transport services will continue to run without disruption in the safe hands of the existing Mackay team. What’s even better is that those clients and any new members of the ComLink family will also have access to ComLink Domestic Assistance and Home Care Packages!
Additionally, HTM’s operations manager Narelle Jensen will be staying on with us as Mackay’s first regional co-ordinator. Ms. Jensen has been with HTM since 2007 and 20 years’ experience in the care industry. She has been a long-time and passionate advocate of community transport and has a strong vision for the quality of services that Mackay deserves.

After seeing ComLink’s internal processes we knew that this was the right decision for both HTM and our clients. The level of service that ComLink can provide is what I’ve always aspired for Mackay to have’.
